ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!

I’m so excited about today’s episode. Today we’re talking about how to set yourself up for success in your finances.

Now, for some of you reading this, you might be thinking to yourself, “Why are we talking about this on girls night?” — like it doesn’t totally fit.

But I wanted to make sure to talk about this on our show for two reasons: 1. Because this is a conversation my friends and I are having at our real life girls nights.

2. For the longest time I didn’t know A THING about retirement, or investing, or my credit score, or why any of that mattered. And for the longest time I was so intimidated by all of it that instead of doing the research and trying to figure it out, I just sort of set it aside and decided that I’d worry about it later.

But the thing is: Our finances and our future financial planning aren’t areas that we can ignore for long without there being serious repercussions for us, for our families, for our kids, and more, and so I finally am biting the bullet and diving into this topic, learning all that I can, and I wanted to bring you guys along with me, just in case there’s anyone else out there that needs this.

Money isn’t the goal or the end-all-be-all most important thing in our lives AT ALL. But it is the kind of thing that when our finances are a mess, it tends to take the rest of our lives down with it.

If we want to do the things we want to do in the world, and live the life we want to live, and make the impact we want to make, and have the safety and security for our families that we want to have, and pursue our dreams, and more and more and more, this is something we have to figure out.

So, with all of that said, I’m SO excited to introduce you to our guest.

Our guest for today’s episode is Dominique Broadway. Dominique is an award-winning personal finance expert, speaker and the founder of Finances Demystified. She is positively brilliant, and after talking to her I feel so clear on what I need to do with my finances. The things she taught me in this episode helped all of this intimidating, confusing stuff actually make sense. I also feel so empowered, like I can actually do the things she suggested.

My hope is that after listening to this episode, you feel the exact same way.
