ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!

I’m so excited because today I’m sharing our first ever bonus episode! I’ve been on maternity leave for the last three months and wanted to catch y’all up on how Carl, myself and the girls have been doing before we officially dive in for the season!

In this conversation, Carl and I are going to share what it’s been like to navigate this massive transition of becoming parents to our newborn twin girls, Annie and Quinn.

I have to say, I’m so glad we found the time to sit down and record this episode. It was so nice to have a moment together to pause and reflect.

This has been the craziest few months of our lives, really hard and really beautiful all at the same time, and I wanted to make sure to reflect on this season before things shift and change. I also wanted to make sure to share this all with you guys, just in case you’re also a new mom, or are going through a huge transition just like I am. My girlfriends have constantly been reminding me that I’m not alone in this, and that reminder has been so helpful. It’s the reminder I wanted to pass onto you today.

So just a heads up, this is a bit of a messy episode. But you know what? I’m pretty messy right now — I’m still very much in the thick of it here. But I have a feeling I’m not the only one. So if we’re going through something crazy and hard and wonderful and wild, I’m so glad we get to do it together.

So, you ready?

Here’s a life update on our new little family of four.

Carl & I totally forgot to take a photo while we were both sitting here and I remembered to take a photo after Carl had already taken out his chair! But this will do, right?! :-)
