ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!

Today we’re talking about how to quiet the noise and figure out what YOU believe about politics (without anyone yelling at you)!

I’m really excited about this episode because I believe that our voices matter — as a girls night community — our voices matter, and I want us to feel confident using our voices in this November election.

The problem is, if you’re anything like me, it can be hard to figure out what you actually believe.

Our families have an opinion, our friends have an opinion, our church has an opinion, everyone on Facebook has an opinion, everyone on TV has an opinion, and it’s so hard to quiet all of that noise long enough to figure out what we actually think.

And so that’s what this episode today is here for.

Today, my friend Emily and I are doing our very best to create a safe little pocket of quiet, where we can ask questions, escape the noise and the pressure, and figure out what we believe, and what’s important to us without anyone else weighing in.

I’ll introduce Emily and tell you more about our heart for this episode as we dive in, but here are just a few of the questions we talk through together:

- Why it is so important to vote and how to register to vote

- How to sort through differing opinions and media sites to find accurate and useful information about a candidate

- How to figure out what we believe and stand strong in that, even if our convictions differ from those around us

- How vocal we should be about our political views and if we need to be sharing our opinion on social media

- How faith plays a role in our political decisions

- And more

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by the noise, and feeling pressure from all sides as you try to figure out what to do in November, this episode is for you.

I’m hoping it’s as helpful for you as I know it was for me!
